Up to $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS *

This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to join a team of highly skilled Clinician's and provide outpatient therapy to clients across a spectrum of needs at our Springvale Outpatient Clinic.

We are seeking an Outpatient Therapy Clinician who is looking for an opportunity to grow clinically and willing to embrace evidence-based practices. The agency offers opportunities for trainings in Evidence Based Practices. Regular group and individual supervision's offered, and a fabulous interdisciplinary team to coordinate care with. This is a dynamic multidisciplinary clinic working with clients of all ages.

Maine Behavioral Healthcare provides an array of services at our outpatient practices for adults, adolescents and children challenged with mental health, developmental disorders, co-occurring and/or substance abuse issues. Specifically, our Springvale location provides these Adult Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Residential and Supported Housing, Case Management and Behavioral Health Homes, Counseling, Psychiatry, and Substance Use Treatment.

Clinical duties may include:


  • Conducting and documenting individual and family psychosocial assessments;

  • Documenting the findings of evaluations and progress in clients' medical records;

  • Conducting and documenting family and/or couples treatment of clients and their families;

  • Maintaining contact with community resources for after care and providing comprehensive discharge planning services.

  • All services will be provided in a manner and language appropriate to the age and comprehensive level of the clients and their families.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



  1. Education: Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.


  2. License/Certifications: Maine State licensure to practice as a LCSW, LMSW or LCPC is required. Maine State licensure to practice as a LADC and CADC as needed. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation if applicable.


  3. Experience: 2+ years of related work experience in a health or mental health setting preferred; depending on client population to be serviced, desired work experience may vary. Prior experience with clinical methods and techniques used in individual, family and group therapy as related to mental health and/or substance abuse issues is required.

  4. Knowledge of social work/ counseling theories, therapies and techniques, as used in individual, family and group treatment, as well as principles of social welfare are required
