JOB SUMMARY:

As a Box Office agent you will be responsible in assisting guests with their show ticket needs. Additionally, Box Office agents are resources for all guest questions with an upbeat and positive attitude and are the first line of defense when resolving guest show complaints. Generates revenue by selling and issuing show tickets directly to guests at the Box Office and via telephone. Efficiently makes reservations and issues tickets for off-site ticket vendors. Responsible for collecting funds/documentation for tickets. Works closely with VIP Services, Promotions, and Sales departments. Works as a Reservation Clerk as scheduled. Effectively presents information and responds to questions from other departments, customers, managers, Lead Box Office Clerk, and general public. Creates and maintains a positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Process show ticket transactions for guests
  • Assist guests with questions about the city and property
  • Maintains and Upbeat and Positive attitude at all times
  • Responsible for being apprised of current events in hotel to assist guests
  • Acts a liaison on behalf of the guest to expedite guest requests
  • Maintains a professional and courteous attitude towards all guests (internal and external)
  • Anticipating guests show needs and guest expectation
Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent is required. Minimum one-year customer service experience required. Must be able to type at least 25 wpm. Excellent phone and written communications skills, plus have the temperament to work in fast-paced work environment under frequqently changing conditions. A working knowledge of Ticketmaster or other Ticketing system required. Must be able to effectively discipline co-workers and provide a positive role model for the Team. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift. Must present a well-groomed appearance and friendly demeanor.

Required to sit, use hands to finger coordination/handle/feel, reach with hands, arms; talk and hear. Occasionally will stand, walk, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl and taste and smell. Occasionally will need to lift up to 25 lbs. Required to use close and ability to focus vision. Frequently will need to use distance, color, peripheral and depth vision. Occasionally the work environment will be wet or humid and contain moving parts. Occasionally the work environment will contain fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic fumes. The noise level occasionally will be very loud.
