Senior Project Manager:

• Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects and mainly ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) projects with Electrical Utilities.
• Responsible for the successful delivery of an SGIT delivery project from handover of the project from sales to the delivery team, through project execution stages, culminating in closure and eventual handover to the support team.
• Work with SGIT team leads in assembling a project team and monitoring the project to ensure quality execution per the contract Scope of Work.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
• Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage, monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
• Manage project execution through all stages of the SE Customer Project Process (Initiate and Setup, Design, Install and Commission and Closure).
• Maintain project schedule, tasks, task assignments, issues, and risks in Workfront. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Coordinate activities of project personnel.
• Initiate, review, and approve modifications to project plans.
• Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI).
• Develop and manage budgets for information technology projects.
• Develop and manage work breakdown structure of information technology projects. Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources.
• Develop project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, and funding, Identify, review, and select vendors to meet project needs.
• Monitor the performance of project team members.
• Coordinate recruitment or selection of project personnel.
• Negotiate with project stakeholders to obtain resources or materials.

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related and 8 years of work experience in software implementation projects.

Must have work experience with:

(1) Delivery of complex, multi-phase SGIT projects typically between $5m and $10m;

(2) Business processes, challenges, disruptions in the electric distribution industry, as well as the drivers and concerns around the deployment of Operations Technologies including DMS, SCADA, OMS, and EMS;

(3) Systems that make up utility systems such as GIS, MDM, CIS, and Work Management;

(4) Overseeing the handover of the project from the sales team to the execution team;

(5) Managing project execution through all stages of the Customer Project Process such as initiate and setup, design, install and commission and closure;

(6) Building and managing a cost and invoicing plan, including subcontractor invoices, that ensures positive cash flow and a high probability of achieving project finance KPI targets;

(7) Engaging Contract Management through all stages of the project for advice on protecting program/project margin while identifying and exploiting opportunities to increase margin; and (8) Maintaining a log of project travel expenses and receipts per SGIT PMO processes.
