Job Description:

What we expect

Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of electricity and materials. Confirms systems and components capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.

CORE TASKS:

  • Knowledgeable of electrical controls, component levels, motor and power circuits, lighting and wiring, limit switches, transducers, photocells, analog and discreet I/O, machine controls and hydraulic equipment controls. Must be knowledgeable in electrical code regulation both domestic and international.
  • Responsible for PLC programing, operator interface displays and other software controlled devices.
  • Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing assembly methods and materials: soliciting feedback from operators.
  • Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; finished products and system capabilities.
  • Accountable for timeliness and accuracy in reading and interpreting plans and specifications per customer requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Participate and add value as a member of the engineering team.
  • Engages in effective communication within and across all departments.
  • Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safety and clean work environment.

  • Who we are looking for

    • Expert Know How/Knowledge:

      • Knowledge of Telemeconique/Square-D/Modicon/ PLC development software and Variable Frequency Drives desirable.

      • Extensive experience with machine control and programming.

      • Strong knowledge of Schneider M251, M340 and Momentum PLC's.

      • Strong knowledge of Schneider Magelis XBT and Harmony STO & STU HMI's.

      • Strong knowledge of Schneider Vijeo Designer, SoMachine/EcoStruxture Machine Expert and Unity Pro/EcoStruxure Control Expert.

      • Basic knowledge of Local Area Networks (LAN) and communications.

      • Basic knowledge of PLC structured text programming.

      • SAP experience

      • Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Eplan.

      • Familiar with NEC and CE and ISO - 9001.

      • Ability to travel 20%

      • Possess strong discipline to provide accurate and timely data.

      • Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions utilizing good judgement.

      • Impeccable attention to detail, effective problem solving skills.

      • Able to thrive in a fast pace environment.

      • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time-accurately, efficiently and effectively.

      • Must be self-directed, professional and dependable.

      Expected (Educational) Qualifications:



      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, other related discipline or equivalent work experience work in Electrical Engineering.

      Expected Years of Experience:


      • A minimum of 2 years of Electrical Engineering experience. Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings and models.
