Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Safety Productivity Solutions. You will develop new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business unit/function overall results. You will lead and manage a group of talented professionals who provide and develop expertise to facilitate the success of software engineering projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic and innovative leader within a passionate about advancing a real-time & distributed architectural strategy and vision.
  • Research, architect, develop roadmaps and implement solutions to support business initiatives across Cloud, data, infrastructure, SOA, ML/AI
  • Lead or participate in design reviews. Thoroughly assess the ability of proposed designs to meet specified requirements
  • Leads the evaluation and selection of new technologies, applications, systems, and vendors to determine appropriateness, value, and fit
  • Partner with business leadership to consult on technology solutions, provide governance, oversight, and strategic insight to all work in the domain, and identify cross-domain/ enterprise synergies and impacts across business areas
  • Owns conceptual solution overview including contextual, component, integration/data flow designs and systems impacted systems in order to solve the business problem
  • Independently lead platform and framework development, identification of relevant milestones, prioritization, assignment, and tracking of deliverables
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; ability to advocate and influence at all levels within the organization and communicate/translate technical concepts to stakeholders
  • Engage with customers on developing and provide solutions utilizing workshops, design sessions, presentations on roadmaps, etc
YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or software-related disciplines, or a related field
    • In lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of experience in Senior Engineering and/or Solution Architecture will qualify
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Senior Engineering and/or Solution Architecture roles

WE VALUE

  • Experience with complex technical development and integration in large organizations with significant reliability, performance, and security requirements
  • Experience in enterprise-scale design
  • Master's degree in a related field with an emphasis in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain
  • Detailed knowledge of one or more cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google)
  • Experience with WES/WMS and supply chain a plus
  • Strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a professional software engineer delivering world class software products and services using object-oriented analysis, design and programming techniques.
  • 5+ years of experience manage multiple vendors with excellent partnership collaboration and long-term enterprise strategy
  • 3+ years of experience creating scalable, reliable and resilient web applications with JavaScript and JavaScript MV* frameworks, e.g., Angular, React
  • 3+ Years of experience creating and/or integrating RESTful Services and API's
  • 3+ Years of experience working various integration methodologies
