As an entry level engineer, Swanson Rink will provide a training program that allows our entry level engineers the ability to quickly become active members of our engineering team.
This role supports the design of critical airport systems including Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), passenger Security Screening Checkpoint (SSCP) systems and Hydrant Fueling systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Supports the design activities of Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges, related gate systems as well as Security Screening Check Point Systems and Hydrant Fueling Systems to meet contract requirements, including product selection and layout for complete functioning systems.
Performs a variety of routine tasks including but not limited to required design calculations.
Assists in the preparation of airport systems flow diagrams, 3-D models, general arrangement drawings and control system design documents.
Receives and carries out specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and expected results and asks questions as needed.
May perform onsite testing and commissioning of completed systems under the direction of a Project Engineer.
Develops and maintains good client relations.
Displays proficiency in use of word processing and spreadsheet software, and computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
Certification as an EIT is required within first sixty days of employment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have ability to pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security and/or other screening requirements.
Some travel is required.

Salary will be based on several factors including: experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. The pay range and benefits offered for this position is expected to be:
$60,000 - $65,000
