Cornerstone Building Brands is looking for an Estimating Team Lead to join its team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Isresponsible for supporting the Estimating Manager in leading the Estimating Department for their specific Brand.
The Estimating Team Leader must be able to ensure scheduling, engineering, and pricing metal building systems occurs timely, economically and in accordance with the high standards of the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible, in coordination withEstimating Manager, for ensuring the coverage of scheduling of estimaterequests at all times.
Responsible for the directsupervision of Estimators.
Responsible for overseeing buildingdesigns used for the production of work essential in maintainingproject quotations.
Responsible for support forCustomer Service and Sales.
Responsible for assuring the use ofMetl-Span Standards in the designs.
Must be able to solve problemsencountered during the estimating and quotation stage.
Responsible, in coordination withEstimating Manager, for a program of self-development through continuoustraining programs and educational opportunities, to better equip one's
self in the performance of the job.
Responsible to assist in thedevelopment of potential candidates in the department, through trainingprograms and educational opportunities to better qualify them for the jobthey are performing, and to develop them for more responsiblepositions.
Responsible forcontinuous improvement of Estimating tools and processes.
Responsible for working withscheduling personnel to screen design loads on all incoming estimaterequests for compliance with the minimum load criteria of the latest
edition of the MBMA and resolve issues that occur.
Responsible for developing competitivecosting and assigned mark-up/margin levels on materials from outsidevenders.
Relationships:
Directly reports to the Director ofEstimating for Cornerstone
Indirectly reports to Estimating Managerfor their given Brand
Works closely with EstimatingManagers/Team Leaders of sister Brands
Maintains relations with the FieldSales Force and Builder Network
Maintains relations with StaffEngineering and other departments as necessary
Handles relations with builders,architects, and engineers concerning engineering and estimating matters.
Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to effectively managepeople
Ability to review and interpretproject specifications
Ability to read blue prints
Must be computer proficient
Must be detail and customer serviceoriented
Must be comfortable on the phonewith customers
Knowledge of insulated panels andother adjacent Cornerstone products
Education/Additional Information:
Minimum5 years of PEMB experience
Associatesdegree in related field preferred
Workrelated travel would typically be less than 5 times per year
