Requirements Analyst

This position works with the project's stakeholders to identify and prioritize the system requirements, which can be documented in a software requirements specification. The specification may include use cases that are statements of the software user's goal and the series of individual steps that explain an end user's interaction with the system.

The specification may also include non-functional requirements, such as quality standards and design restraints. The requirements analyst might also create a graphic model, mathematical equations or a storyboard to record a system's requirements.

Communicates with project stakeholders regarding test results and changes to the end-product requirements.

The analyst is the primary intermediary between the customer and the development team throughout a project's life cycle. The analyst must confirm, therefore, that regardless of the project stage, the requirements reflect the end users’ needs and that the system being developed reflects the requirements. To do so, the analyst participates in peer reviews to validate the requirements as well as reviews of the system design, code and test cases to confirm the system adheres to documented requirements.

After the requirements baseline is established, the analyst develops a requirements management plan that incorporates a change control process. Using this plan, the analyst tracks individual requirements from baseline to the final verification of functionality following the software development Other duties assigned as needed in regard to requirements gathering.

Required Skills:


  • 5 or more years of experience

  • Project management (Heavy MS Project)

  • Change Configuration Management 

  • Enterprise Life Cycle Management 

  • Requirements documentation (MS Office)

  • M365 technologies

  • SharePoint 2013 to SP Online

  • Microsoft Teams

  • SharePoint Development

  • Azure Power Platform (Apps, Automate, Bi)

  • DevSecOps 

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a client specific Public Trust
