Blown Film Operator - NGR Operator

While reporting to the Department Manager, you will be responsible for Set up and operation of Blown Film Extrusion line, Install and change screens. Visually check film for defects, etc. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to read work orders, etc. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Install or change screens, set up trim scrap, palletizer and grinder.


• Set up raw material feeding system.


• Maintain records of material use and production.


• Performing all duties as designated by manager.


• Assist with start up of the lines and change overs.


• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco's quality and safety policies.

• We expect you to be Sonoco mission driven


• Previous experience in Blown Film extrusion.


• Knowledge in resins, co-extrusion of a Variety of plastics.


• To succeed in this role, you will need good written and verbal communication skills


• Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to the job.


• You have to have a "get it done" attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.


• Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is important to success.


• Train employees on SOP, Food Safety, quality, GMP and Production SOP's, etc. when needed.
