Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Human Resources Assistant
LOCATION OR DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
EXEMPT STATUS/GRADE: Non-Exempt/15
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The primary purpose is to support the Human Resources activities in accordance with regulations and laws, and to ensure that capable associates are recruited and employed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage and primary contact for Human Resources inbox.
Develops, implements and uses effective mechanisms to recruit associates with the ability to meet the needs of the corporation.
Utilizes biographical data, work experience, educational background, and other screening variables in making personnel decisions.
Screens and hires in accordance with Federal and State laws.
In consultation with the positions Manager/Supervisor, hires the associate positions needed by the corporation.
Conducts the initial orientation/onboarding process of new associates.
Assists in the development or revision of personnel policies, procedures, guides, handbook and forms.
Trains Managers in the performance standards or requirements of each position.
Designs, revises and maintains organized personnel files.
Designs, revises and implements a system for exiting and transferring associates which meet all employment laws and the corporations' practices.
Insures forms are properly completed, coded, signed, etc., before filing.
Completes routine and periodic record audits.
Performs as a backup in preparing payroll information necessary to run payroll checks.
Completes outside benefit and compensation surveys.
Represents the corporation and establishes and maintains positive working relations with associates, physicians and the general public.
Maintains a positive, professional demeanor in daily contacts.
Obtains a working knowledge of the corporation's policies and procedures.
Participates as a team member and offers suggestions, voices concerns, and provides information regarding the corporation's personnel issues.
Attends training to increase skills and knowledge; shares that information with other associates as appropriate.
Dependable - consistently at work and on time.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
Previous experience recruiting, staffing and processing payroll a plus.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues.

DAILY PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIRED FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
OF THE JOB:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Environmental/working conditions:

Working under stressful situations and frequent contact, in person and on the telephone with associates and the public and may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
Manual dexterity required for daily use phone and computer keyboard.
Low-Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood products, bodily fluids and/or hazardous materials common to a radiology setting.
Low-Potential exposure to ionizing radiation exams rooms and/or involved in the use of ionizing radiation common to a radiology setting.
