Job Description:

As the Process Engineer, you will provide research and development support at the plant level. You will participate in the improvement and expansion of existing processes and technology as well as the exploration of novel products and processes at the respective plant level.

How you will play an integral role?


  • Develop an intimate knowledge of processes, equipment, and systems related to filament fiber production.

  • Provide technical solutions for performance, cost or quality improvement of existing product processes both internally and at our customers using methodical experimental design and process improvement methods.

  • Monitor product performance metrics and ensure process capabilities are met with each production run, respond with technical guidance on any out-of-control condition.

  • Provide support internally for the manufacturing and quality assurance groups, as well as downstream processes. Use expertise to explore and resolve technical issues.

  • Maintain relationships with production and technical staff, providing guidance and gaining awareness of problems or opportunities for improvement.

  • Transition new product developments into commercial processes that provide innovative solutions for customers in the textile industry.

  • Communication - Above-average written and verbal skills. Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with all levels.

Are you qualified for the position?


  • A four-year engineering or physical science degree is preferred (with a particular interest in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, textile engineering, textile technology, polymer and color chemistry, or general chemistry).

  • Proven experience in textile production, product development, filament fiber production, and/or color development is strongly preferred

  • Advanced Excel skills required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word & PowerPoint)

  • Experience with analysis tools a plus

  • Willingness to travel as required 5%-10%
