Hours: 8:00-4:30p

In this Outpatient Oncology role, you will provide social work interventions for Outpatient Oncology patients and family.

Some responsibilities include:

• Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary oncology team to provide needed resources and support services for outpatient Oncology patients.


• Providing short-term adjustment counseling to assist with emotional, social, and economic stresses of illness and disability.


• Program planning and collaboration with external agencies.

Qualifications:

• Master's of Social Work from an accredited college or university is required.


• Registration with the state of Washington as either a Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWAIC), Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Social Work Associate Advanced (LSWAA) or Social Work Advanced (LISW)


• May consider an Agency Affiliated Counselor with the expectation of active pursuit of their Social Work Licensure.


• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills


• Working knowledge of individual and family dynamics and the ability to perform psycho/social assessments


• Understanding of systems and how to work within systems


• Understanding of the impact and implications of disease and the course of disease
