This position may be located in any Ag & Turf or Construction & Forestry Production Factory in the United Statesper the hiring manager's discretion.This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities

THISPOSTINGWILL BEUSEDTOFILL5 OPENINGS

As a Supply Management Planning Lead for John Deere, you will communicate with suppliers, planners, buyers, site integrators and operations on a day-to-day basis regarding delivery schedules. You will monitor factory critical shortage and other reports daily to ensure adequate delivery plans and material replenishment using optimal logistics processes. In addition, you will:


  • Supervise Deere and contingent Supply Management Planners. Monitor planner performance and drive planning excellence. Perform hiring and onboarding activities for new Supply Management Planners.
  • Work with the Supply Management Planners and Specialists to monitor and improve supplier performance; measure the performance of the supplier and define corrective actions; support planners in negotiations with suppliers to resolve short-term performance problems.
  • Resolve shipping and receiving problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers.
  • Schedule and expedite the delivery of purchased materials to support a production plan, including recommendations for premium logistic alternatives when appropriate.
  • Support critical factory meetings as required.
  • Travel up to 25% of time based on business needs (domestic).

What Skills You Need


  • Experience in areas of Supply Management such as supplier integration, strategic supply management, logistics, or OFP / PDP supply management
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
  • Self-motivated, and possesses initiative to seek out additional responsibility
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Previous supply management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Cross-functional experience in areas of material flow, supplier development, and operations
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Tableau, Power Automate, VBA Macro Development, Python Scripting, and SharePoint

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology or Supply Management discipline or one or more year's equivalent work experience
