A Day in the Life:Records receiving data. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes. Completes shipping and receiving reports. Provides basic support to warehouse. May participate in various data entry activities and support material handlers as needed. Will operate fork lift.
What You’ll Do:
Receives and enters materials into warehouse management system
Report discrepancies and damages to purchasing agent for accounting purposes
Reviews open PO reports
Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials
Documents and maintains inventory and ensures production area organization and cleanliness
Works closely with the purchasing agent to track and organize equipment and material
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Support and participate in branch LEAN activities as required
Work closely with warehouse lead to stage for upcoming projects
Notify purchasing agent of arrival of special order items
Interface with purchasing department to ensure on time delivery of materials
Put away and restock materials
Unload materials from vendors
Other duties as assigned
Must Haves:
Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially with proficiency with EXCEL spreadsheets
Ability to follow spoken and written instruction
Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
Experience/Education Required/Desired:
Prior experience in related work required
Forklift certification preferred
Special Considerations:
Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
