Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities


  • The incumbent will lead the Professional Development (PD) team consisting of instructors, developers, and program managers, bringing cohesiveness to this discipline, and providing our clients superior Professional Development and Safety options. They will have full accountability of the revenue generated by new streams of maintenance training offering PD services across Commercial, Business, and Helicopter marketsegments


  • Provides leadership, experience, and expertise while collaborating with, contributing to the Sales, and Marketing teams related to our Safety and Professional Development offerings. In coordination with the Sales team, will implement a Go-to-Market strategy to offer Professional Development Services to both Pilot and Maintenance training segments with the intent of growing revenue exponentially


  • The incumbent will instruct clients in Professional Development and Safety practices applicable to all aviation personnel to acquire skills and knowledge in Leadership, Management, Project Management, Conflict Management, Communication, Safety Management Systems, and Human Factors, and other leadership responsibilities. They will provide the knowledge and practical and straightforward techniques necessary to become highly effective leaders and managers in the aviation industry.


  • In doing so, they are the responsible party and lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) in developing and maintaining all client and instructional material related to the PD curriculum. They will support CAE's Human Resources requests to offer PD services to internal employees


Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

12 years related work experience

Extensive leadership experience in various levels of civil or commercial aviation.

Aircraft technician experience and associated certifications.

Able to strategically lead a training organization and understand the FAA and EASA and other NAAs regulations.

Can lead a financial conversation and be able to prioritize actions strategically.
