SUMMARY:VSE Corporation is looking for a Logistics Analyst Senior Principle (LA-SP) to work in the GLOBAL Division of Federal Services Group. This position is located in Alexandria, VA.

The SLA-P supports the day-to-day operations of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Follow On Technical Support (FOTS) program of both national and international significance (primary focus on Egypt and other Middle East North Africa programs), partner with stakeholders to understand objectives, determine requirements, and monitor and control project budgets, scope, and schedules. Must be detailed oriented and possess strong communication skills and an interest in honing formal project management skills. Problem-solving skills, mentorship, personnel development and a strong dedication to the team and the organization is essential for this position.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate in multicultural environments and interact with stake holders to identify and resolve any issues.

  • Track status of material requirements from generation of Material Requirement Lists (MRLs) to delivery to the operations teams in country in support of various maintenance, repairs and overhaul projects.

  • Perform analysis that helps leadership understand business and performance trends. Interpret the results and gain insight to inform stakeholders. Break down problems, analyze data, and drive business insights.

  • Monitor performance of internal operations, providing analysis and strategic insights to drive growth and performance.

  • Guide cost analysis process by utilizing established policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.

  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis.

  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analysis, and recommendations.

  • Maintain multiple databases either directly or via support personnel.

  • Manage budgets and review purchase orders and invoices.

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and balance requirements.

  • When employees and subcontractors are performing work outside the Continental United States, be available and responsive outside normal working hours.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10 years logistics management experience

  • 5 years in Navy Project Management involving all aspects of Logistics Support Planning and Execution on surface combatant programs

  • 5 years logistics planning and execution activities supporting surface combatant program/project office (i.e., NAVSEA, NSWC, planning yard) including maintenance planning, supply support and training.

  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience.

  • U.S. Citizen


  • Must be able to obtain DoD Security Clearance.

  • Have a passport valid for at least 2 years and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree in STEM degree preferred

  • MBA

  • PMP Certified preferred.

  • Navy Supply Corp Officer and Surface Warfare Qualified, post Department Head preferred.

  • Excellent quantitative, written, and presentation skills; innovative, organized, thorough.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail with a focus on quality results.

  • Comfortable working alone and in a group/team environment.

  • Experience working with people from the Middle East.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Current active DoD Clearance
