The Inventory & Maintenance Technical Support position will be responsible for assisting with the management of maintenance, repairs, and modifications for stock and critical spare equipment and components. This position will also assist with the overall development of the Dredging Division’s equipment inventory management program and preventative maintenance program. 

 

Essential Job Functions

 

• Understanding of the overall hydraulic dredging operation and the functional operation of the supporting mechanical components


• Ability to further develop and refine preventative and routine maintenance procedures


• Prepare specifications for maintenance, repair, modifications and new procurement of equipment and components


• Further develop preventative maintenance systems- inspections, repair tracking


• Identify and develop of the overall dredging’s equipment inventory system


• Ability to identify inventory critical spare equipment and components


• Assist with the management of off-site repairs and maintenance of equipment and components that are located at vendor facilities.


• Approve/generate requisitions for vendor services, generate work orders, change orders and AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure)


• Schedule frequent vendor visits developing work scopes, review progress and inspection of parts and equipment being repaired


• Ensure compliance of company policies


• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

 

●      10+ years of experience in related field

●      Technical understanding of construction and maintenance of marine vessels

●      Ability to read and understand technical drawings

●      Proficient skills in Microsoft Office

●      Ability to work a flexible schedule with additional hours as needed

●      Ability to travel as needed

 

Required Education, Certifications or Licenses

 

·         Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record

• (Preferred) Associate degree or higher in a marine or engineering discipline or a combination of education and experience

 

 

Physical Requirements

●    Ability to remain in seated stationary position for long periods of time

●    Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed

●    Light lighting (up to 20 lbs.) as needed
