PURPOSE To contribute to the profitable growth of the company's revenue.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
*Work independently to uncover marketing needs, develop and present sales presentations and proposals, and close sales
Promote and sell the entire PITT OHIO Enterprise Supply Chain Services to customer base
Call 30-40 existing accounts per day to maintain and grow business levels while in Inside Sales team within the Account Management Department.
Efficiently maintain relationships with current PITT OHIO Enterprise customers
Prospect and develop retention programs for new PITT OHIO Enterprise customers
*Analyze account revenue levels on accounts
Set up call objectives for accounts according to business levels and additional services needed
Maintain numerical data that will provide self-management guidelines and records for the department's management evaluation purposes on a daily basis
Maintain department records within Microsoft Dynamics (i.e., account information, call reports, opportunities, pricing requests, account plans etc.)
Complete Pricing requests for accounts
Interact with Terminal Managers, Purchasing Agents, Customer Service Managers, Shippers, Receivers, etc.; as well as PITT OHIO Operations, Pricing, Claims, and Credit & Collections departments
Meet and exceed daily and annual quota objectives as established by yearly sales initiatives and metrics.
Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
OTHER DUTIES
Acquire account information and successfully enter into PITT OHIO proprietary sales applications
Support all company goals and policies
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record required
Will work remote hybrid role as an trainee. Goal is for trainee to excel and grow business levels/milestones while in the Inside Sales Department and then they will then transition to an outside sales territory within the Richmond market.
1-2 years logistics training/experience a plus
Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Must be proficient with MS Office and the Internet
Must possess excellent pro-active phone voice
Must be able to meet and exceed sales objectives
Ability to set and accomplish goals by working independently
Must possess excellent customer service skills and positively manage customer concerns
Must possess excellent follow-up and organizational skills
Must be able to work well in a team environment and energetically share ideas and participate in sales training
Problem solving, negotiation, and time management skills are essential
WORKING CONDITIONS
Weekend work and travel may occasionally be needed in order to meet customer demands
Weekend and evening entertainment may be required
Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forces frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are only required occasionally.
Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer terminal, and extensive reading
Typical exposure to interior environmental conditions like air conditioning and dust; no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers
Talking and hearing required to communication with and listen to others to share or receive information. May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others
