Job Description
The Deputy Program Director will assist the Program Director to manage a complex program, encompassing multiple tasks, with a total annual budget at approximately $15 million.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor the project plan, manage tasks, assess project needs, monitor schedules, serve as contact person for team members
Ensures all programs have timelines and project teams have clear goals, objectives, and milestones
Supports the Program Director's strategy and process activities
Effectively communicates project/program strategy, status, critical path activity timing, resource requirements, and risks as appropriate
Serves as functional manager for team members
Supports management of continual and effective communication/liaison with the customer
Supports management of center operations
Supports management of payment processing operations
Supports management of outreach operations
Supports management of website development and content refresh operations
Supports management of satisfaction survey development, implementation, and results analysis
Responsible for meeting all service level agreements and other performance standards
Develops solutions to complex issues that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation
Facilitates team level decision-making and escalates key decisions
Ensures that effective collaboration and communication takes place across the team
Adapts program management processes across tasks
Identifies and helps resolve resource constraints and/or conflicts that affect multiple tasks within the program
Responsible for maintaining a unified, high performing interdisciplinary team
Arranges priorities as necessary to perform tasks
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
17 years of experience administering and managing programs of similar size, scope and complexity to SSA's Ticket to Work Program

Preferred Qualifications
Active PMP Certification
Experience supporting the US Social Security Administration
Experience managing efforts to help individuals with disabilities obtain employment
