Senior Proposal Writer

Overview

Use your writing and editing skills to contribute to sales proposals and other materials. As part of our team, you will research, write, and develop text throughout the proposal process. You will work closely with proposal managers, sales managers, solution engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts to communicate the value of Esri solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

Write content for proposals, RFP responses, and sales library
• Understand and communicate winning sales messages to improve the effectiveness of proposals


• Research and provide answers to questions about product capabilities


• Review and revise writing provided by other team members


• Manage multiple writing projects, often with minimal oversight


• Provide additional writing services as needed

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in sales writing, including proposals, executive summaries, RFP/RFI responses, and technical papers


• 10+ years of writing experience in a business environment


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


• Solid track record of meeting requirements within deadlines


• Previous experience developing sales materials


• Bachelor's in business, geography, writing, English, journalism, or equivalent experience

Recommended Qualifications

• Sales experience in the technology/software industry


• Knowledge of or experience using GIS concepts and software


• Understanding of the principles of storytelling


• Experience in visual communications and graphic design


• APMP certification or equivalent training

You will be asked to provide writing samples.
