The job of the Machinist III is one with flexing priorities. The qualified applicant will possess experience with the machinability of aluminum, stainless steels, titanium, glass reinforced epoxies. Incumbent should bring experience working with measurement and inspection equipment and techniques and a strong knowledge of cutting tools and techniques used in the machine shop industry. Day to day tasks will include set up and operation of all machine shop support equipment such as drill presses, surface grinders, honing machines, band saws, cut-off saws, etc. In addition, the Machinist III should exhibit good communication skills and be comfortable working within a team, including machine shop personnel and staff engineers, in an aerospace machine shop environment under some supervision.
