Job Description


MISSION / SUMMARY:


The E&I Department employees Reliability Engineers whose role is to lead the efforts aimed at reducing unscheduled downtime on equipment and improve overall equipment reliability.



JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.



  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failure.

  • Analyze downtime to identify "bad actors" and assist in prioritizing reliability improvement efforts.

  • Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer.

  • Assist in maintaining and modifying existing information and control systems

  • Assist in writing standard operating procedures.

  • Provide engineering support to other departments as needed.

  • Present to the department periodically and at the end of the internship



KEY COMPETENCIES:



  • Comfortable working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.

  • Desire to work on projects.

  • Leadership skills

  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities

  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business
