Web/Database Developer

Overview

Frontier Technology Inc.'s Technology group is driving innovation in software development and delivery across the company. The company is transforming its current software development state to modern development infrastructure, tools and processes. Software developers and architects in Technology support projects across the company as well as Internal Research and Development (IR&D) initiatives. This position to support developing a web-based tool to aid decision makers in planning installations of systems into Navy ships based on existing and changing ship avails. The developer should have an understanding of SQL database architecture, web development with APIs (Power BI Knowledge a strong plus), and C#. Visuals will be created with Power BI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications (cloud and/or in-house).
• Serve as technical expert on development projects.


• Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.


• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.


• Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.


• Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.


• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.


• Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.

Education/Qualifications

• 4+ years development experience using SQL, C#, & Power BI


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.


• Strong problem solving and analytical skills


• Team player with good communication skills
