Job Description:




Job Description and Responsibilities:





  • Manages an AP team of 6 to maintain Vendor profiles/Relations, process vendor invoices/employee expense reports and manage all disbursements in checks or electronically

  • Manages/files 1099 reporting

  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines and SOX compliances

  • Implements best AP practices and shares knowledge with international sites to promote process standardization within the organization when applicable. Assists international A/P offices with Oracle A/P questions and procedures as needed

  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information, reconciles related GL accounts to AP sub-ledger, enters journal entries as needed to ensure accuracy of financial statements under US GAAP




Education and Work Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred

  • Seven or more years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in leadership/management roles.

  • Must have strong Oracle ERP AP system experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Must have good understanding of state sales and use tax

  • Must have 1099 filing experience

  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills. Must have good Excel skills.

  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software

  • Pay attention to detail to lead the AP team to pass internal and external audits

  • Strong interpersonal skills to efficiently interact with other departments and upper management and to provide good customer services within the organization.

  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel, management, auditors and worldwide suppliers

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles

Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
