The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Technical Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for technical issues and strategy related to the Epic software and the systems it integrates with. They will work with IT vendors to drive technical issues to resolution, maintain technical and interface project plans, and communicate to internal IT leadership. Familiar with infrastructure and hardware, this manager leads other resources to meet technical needs and timelines and creates upgrade plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that technical requirements and tasks are understood, clearly communicated, and executed on time.
Update technical and interface project plans, technical trackers, and other work plans.
Act as a liaison between the technical teams and IT application teams.
Maintain on call schedule to manage interface errors.
Create procedures for managing interface errors.
Partner with other teams to implement new interfaces.
Determine staffing needs based on demands .
Prioritize and triage requests.
Ensure that technical staffing levels are maintained.
Coordinate hosting and infrastructure issues by working with other members of the IT organization.
Clearly communicate status of technical issues and identify a plan to resolve.
Oversee applications' environment release and security coordinators.
Develop, document, and test downtime and recovery processes.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionality to resolve complex issues.
Superb communication, interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external audiences.
Ability to balance critical thinking and attention to detail.
Supervise staff including but not limited to organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
Apply excellent communication skills.
Ability to be fully proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook); Excel expert.

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.
Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business administration or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
7+ years of experience working with HL7 integrations and interface engines, or equivalent healthcare IT industry experience.
3+ years of managerial experience on an electronic interface team in a healthcare setting, or management experience on an equivalent healthcare IT technical team, including overseeing project plans, leading largescale technical changes, and serving as a point of contact for technical issues.
Possession at time of hire or ability to obtain Epic Bridges certification and/or other technical Epic certification within 6 months of hire.
