Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Manager, Enterprise Sourcing is responsible for the overall management of Sourcing Specialists and the management of critical suppliers supporting key functional areas. Areas of focus include building solid relationships with supply partners, supplier evaluation, supply risk management, contract management, contract and pricing negotiation, and technical understanding of business needs and suppliers' ability. The Manager, Enterprise Sourcing provides guidance to the team and cross functional partners on procurement elements of projects with an understanding of technical and business requirements and executes on procurement category objectives. This role leads a team that collaborates across the business to ensure business needs are being met by, ensuring product availability is maintained across all functions and entities to meet company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Leads the development of forward-looking plans to ensure supply chain risk mitigations are developed and executed, relating to sole sourced suppliers, contingency planning, and business continuity planning.
  • Engages team with cross functional partners to identify and evaluate backup and alternate suppliers based on business needs.

  • Develops and maintains key performance indicators.

  • Attends and assigns team members to cross functional meetings to support new product initiatives and product support.

  • Supports team in evaluation of supplier capacity and need for expansion.

  • Meets with critical suppliers on a regular basis to ensure contractual obligations are meting met or exceeded tough management of established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Supports maintenance and management of business review processes with critical suppliers.

  • Strong understanding of quality systems and application in supplier management.

  • Develops and continuously improves internal procedures for contracts in partnership with contract administration team.

  • Develops and continuously improves internal procedures for supplier management in partnership with supplier quality management.

  • Supervises staff; including, but not limited to, organize, and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.

  • Communicates goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.

  • Motivates and inspires employees to do their best work through coaching.

  • Maintains morale and supports employee engagement initiatives.

  • Displays adaptability and ability to quickly help team manage changing priorities.

  • Ability to work set a working schedule that allows for flexibility that is hybrid in nature, working 3+ days a week in an office location.

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.

  • Ability to use a telephone through a headset.

  • Ability to work seated for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

  • Ability and means to travel 20% between Exact Sciences locations and supplier locations which may include overnights and weekend travel.

  • Ability and means to travel 5% between Exact Sciences location Madison locations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or a field related to the essential duties of this role.

  • 7+ years of experience in a supply chain management role or a field related to the essential duties of this role.

  • 3+ years of experience with SAP or other ERP system.

  • 3+ years of experience with Agile or other quality management systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications


  • CPSM or professional procurement certification.

  • Experience with contract management systems such as Conga, Merrill DataSite, or DocuSign.
