American Renal Associates, a national provider of quality dialysis services, is experiencing rapid growth and we are searching for the right individuals to help continue our superb performance. We are currently accepting applications for the following position in Franklin, TN:


Applications Support Analyst


The Applications Support Analyst will be the liaison between different business areas and IT. The incumbent is responsible for a full range of healthcare applications and process analysis and improvement activities to increase business applications operational effectiveness. This includes working with the user community to develop applications and user documentation, provide application training, analyze and resolve application problems and issues.


The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret healthcare business practices into operational requirement; as well as translate technical application features and functionalities into healthcare lingo. The analyst preferably will have some knowledge of healthcare provider business operations, but not required.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Work with business areas to analyze business rules and processes and recommend application level parameters.

  2. Research, identify, evaluate, and implement applications to improve efficiency of healthcare operation.

  3. Design and document current and proposed business process workflows and business rules.

  4. Work with user community to test applications to ensure it meets users' expectations.

  5. Create systems and user documentations.

  6. Provide application training and help the user community in getting most form the applications to meet changing business needs.

  7. Troubleshoot application functionality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  8. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  9. Work on other projects as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Four year college degree in the field of Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Information Systems preferred or equivalent education, training, and experience.

  • 1+ years of in-depth relevant knowledge in healthcare provider setting.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access).

  • Strong understanding of business analysis/reporting application(s) is preferred.


This is a Full-Time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours of work may vary according to business needs. Occasional travel may be required (up to 10% of the time).
