Yanfeng seeks a Plant Manager to manage overall operations in areas of quality, production, people, document control and Quality and Environmental Management Systems. The Plant Manager directs manufacturing operations through a team of functional leaders ensuring customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.

Major Responsibilities:


  • YFAI Plant Managers(PM) ensure document and data control at the plant level. They manage plant operations for production, technical, engineering, launch, quality, supply chain, IT and EHS. 

  • YFAI Plant Managers are responsible to resource the plant appropriately and maintain the quality systems/manufacturing processes according to company standards. 

  • The PM also maintains the Environmental Management System; Conducts management reviews of the quality and EM system. The Plant Manager is also responsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining EHS standards and providing a safe environment for employees, visitors and contractors within the site. 

 
Additional Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Manage policy deployment in areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and engagement, visual controls and plant performance measures.

  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.

  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.

  • Prepare the Plant Profit Plan with the assistance of the plant staff and submits the Plant Profit Plan to Vice President of Operations and CFO for review and approval.

  • Achieve the Profit Plan as approved by senior leadership. Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries, waste reduction, quality improvement, safety compliance and improvement, environmental compliance and improvement, and complete and on-time delivery. 

  • Provides leadership in the plant to comply with corporate vision for 0 defects and continual improvement of EMS. 

  • Participate and engage in meetings concerning union matters. 

  • Management representative for IATF and ISO-14001 EMS. 

  • Promote opportunities for Customer growth by collaborating with CBU’s and Operations teams. 

  • Own and drive the program launch process (PRR) from quotation to production. Responsible for people development and succession planning at site level. 

  • Drive YFIMS and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Achieve key performance metrics inclusive of quality, cost, delivery and people and report out on a monthly basis through the Management Review process. 

  • Drive the defined intentional culture aligned with mission, vision and company values. 

  • Drive IT initiatives to align with customer and business initiatives. 

  • Deliver No Surprises in a timely manner. 

  • Lead, or assign appropriate responsibility to lead, Red Flag meetings related to site matters. 

  • Support and drive employee engagement initiatives. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field is required. 

  • 10 years of experience working in an Automotive manufacturing, plastic injection molding or similar plant environment with 5 years of experience working in a leadership capacity in a plant environment is required.

  • Plant Management experience is highly desired.
