Great Southwestern Construction, Inc., is seeking a qualified Project Manager to manage and lead all electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects This is an ideal opportunity for adriven, self-starting leader with strong functional skills to join a growing and dynamic firm - a firm focused on leadership, teamwork, integrityand delivering exceptional service totheirclients.Thesuccessful candidate for this roleshould have proven experiencemanaging client Requests for Information (RFIs), construction schedules both from a managerial and hands-on supervisory lens, cost estimates, and client problem resolution skills. This position requires travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities


  • Prepare project construction schedules and manage daily activities

  • Submit "Requests for Information" to clients

  • Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, submit deliverables, and address outstanding open items as requested by clients

  • Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing information

  • Review and monitor job costs versus budgets

  • Help prepare complete cost estimates (labor and material) for projects within set deadlines as necessary

  • Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing

  • Schedule and attend field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to understand and determine constructability requirements

  • Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency

  • Assist construction personnel throughout the projectlife cyclein tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate

  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable





Job Requirements


PreferredQualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other engineering discipline

  • Strong understandingelectrical transmission, distribution and substation construction requirements

  • Familiarity with proposal submissions - cost estimates, labor requirements

  • Knowledge of all NEC and relevant codes

  • Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural and mechanical plans and designs

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite Products

  • Experience working with employees at all levels,andacross multiple groups

  • Strong business andfinancialacumen, curiosity, learning agility, and learning/growth mindset

  • Ability touse cost estimating software and construction scheduling tools

  • Collaborative and drives alignment and teamwork within and across the team

  • Strong communication, both verbal and written.
