SUMMARY
The Product Owner Lead in the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Organization, would be responsible for owning Solution Scope, MVP, Prioritization, Phases and Solution fitment across multiple tracks of Master Data. You will be leading a team of Product Owners for respective MD Tracks, will engage with Business / Functional Stakeholders and liaison with Delivery team to facilitate / document Functional Specification documents, provide sign-offs, define required Gate criteria. The role would act as a conduit between the Business / Business Services Organizations and the Technology Delivery Teams.

ROLE ACCOUTABILITIES:

·       Establish a strong engagement network with Business, data leads and Business Services Stakeholders, to deliver on the Collaboration Platforms of Multiple MD Tracks, across all regions and businesses of K-C

·       Lead team of product owners, one from each domain.

·       Work closely with Delivery managers and Delivery team to facilitate execution of planned projects.

·       Collaborate with Regional CIOs and IT business partners and define priorities of assignments.

·       Active participation and lead design of S/4 HANA EDM journey

·       Accountable to Lead complete Product owner’s team to define forward looking EDM Strategy for each domain.

·       Accountable for End-to-End Solution, Strategy and Success of Objectives and Milestones.

·       Lead Workshops various Business Engagement Programs, bringing together key stakeholders of the respective MD Tracks. 

·       Responsible for closing Key Business Solution Decisions for respective tracks.

·       Align with Business Operations Leaders to establish a Globally Harmonized Process Flow and Ways of Working for Master Data Governance and CRUD Management Frameworks.

·       Lead the solution confirmation for a Globally aligned Collaborative Enrichment &Hierarchy Management Platforms space – as per requirements, for each MD Domain in scope.

·       Facilitate the Standardization of Data Model, ensuring fit-for-purpose Data Integration between Golden Data source and Downstream systems, for all MD Objects and relevant reference data.

·       Facilitate the team of Product Owners in translation of Requirements into Functional Scope and Technical Deliverables.

·       Collaborate and arrive at a Project Plan with Key Milestones.  Identify Priority of requirements and arrive at MVP and Backlogs, along with corresponding Release Plans.

·       Maintain a People Map and Establish Active Network of Engagement with Users, Stakeholders, Service Providers / Vendors, GBS, Data Leads and Sponsors for MD Objects. 

·       Ensure robust and timely engagement with all key stakeholders, focusing on current and future needs of business.

·       Proactively lead Pre-Mortem Exercises to pre-empt and mitigate blockers.

·       Closely work with Delivery Management Team to provide Functional and Business-relevant inputs during Conceptualization and Design phases.

·       Own Functional / Requirement Documentation and facilitate translation of the same to corresponding Technical Delivery Specs.

·       Support and guide Product Owners to ensure strong Testing Documentation, including Test Cases, Finding Docs and Fix Notes.

·       Define Gate Strategy and corresponding Gating Criteria, along with corresponding sign off authorities.

·       Organize and Leverage team of POs to lead various Testing Cycles, engage with Test Users, facilitate bug logging, track resolution and facilitate Signoffs of Stage Gates.

·       Define product and platform strategy for EDM in collaboration with Architects , Enterprise Architects and SAP / Syniti / Stibo and other vendors .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education required/ preferred:

A Bachelor’s in a related field is required.  A Master’s Degree is preferred but not required.

Experience:

·       8+ years of experience with strong Business Engagement, SME Team Management and Process Governance

·       8+ years of experience with large Implementation Journeys (Greenfield / Brownfield) in Master Data Transformation(S/4), Conversion activities is expected.

·       8+ years of experience with multiple Master Data Governance and CRUD Processes and Best Practices

·       8+ years of experience in Data Management and Data Strategy Development with IT Business Partners.

·       8+ years of experience in CPG Industry is required

·       8+ years of experience of leading a team of senior Functional Experts and working in collaboration with multiple business / functional and technology architecture counterparts, as an MD Business Function Analyst.

·       Proven knowledge of Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality Management and Lifecycle Management experience is required

·       5+ years of experience with vendor management and leading big transformation programs

 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

·       Master Data Business Process Analysis and Process Harmonization

Knowledge / experience with Collaboration Capabilities and Customized Solutioning is an added advantage.  Functional and Technical Understanding with hands-on experience of Master Data Governance Tools and Technologies (SAP S/4 and non-SAP) is highly preferred

·       Hierarchy Management and Solutions Design

·       Self-Driven and Business Benefit Focused – ability to work on a broad guideline and framework to bring in impactful solutions.

·       Strong influencing skills and thought leadership to drive the Master Data agenda in a cross functional environment (key expectation to drive the Master data architecture amidst the S/4 solution design / confirmation)

·       Ability to facilitate the design of the End to End solution for specific areas, like, MD Governance, Hierarchy Management, Business Process Orchestration etc.

·       Structured Business Engagement Skills, to lead and facilitate focused interactions with SMEs, BPs and Business Process / Data Owners

·       Capability to Champion a business case driven process to define business analytic solutions.

·       Strong Analytical capabilities – drive Data Harmonization and Standardization Deliverables

Good understanding of Hierarchy Models and Reference Data Models

·       Appreciation of working with multiple regions (APAC, LAO, NA and EMEA) is strongly preferred

·       Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation skills and interpersonal skills along with demonstrated ability working with global and cross-functional teams

WORKING CONDITIONS: Travel may include approximately 25% of work time. Travel may include travel via aircrafts and motor vehicles to various locations, if applicable.
