 The Cash/Billing Escalations Service Team Leader will help colleagues work together and ensure they’re delivering best-in-class customer service. The Team Leader will provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership for both the Cash team (12 onshore and 25 offshore) and the newly formed Billing Escalations Service team which is comprised of SME resources from various functional areas within the Collections Shared Service Center.  

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the CSSC Cash Management Manager, this position performs daily balancing and reconciliations of cash feed into receivable systems and Chubb bank accounts.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete the Daily Balancing for various receivable systems and bank accounts utilizing the appropriate Bank/Treasury and system reports.  All data is to be entered onto the appropriate spreadsheet both accurately and timely.  Any out of balances or discrepancies should be clearly noted & explained on the appropriate spreadsheet and corrected timely.  Ensure all CA3085 SOX controls are met timely and accurately.


• Monitor all bank accounts for any debits that may hit the account.  Research each debit for proper handling and ensure the appropriate receivable system is updated.


• Works with the ledger team to complete monthly balancing by identifying and clearing any out of balances caused on the various ledgers by cash team transactions.


• Work with Treasury when an “instrument change” is completed for the Cash Management team ensuring the item is re-classes accurately and proper support is maintained for the transaction.


• Be the Liaison between the Cash Team and Treasury corresponding regarding the various lockboxes.


• Continue to work to have all bank accounts feed into the various Chubb receivable systems


• Manage the Daily Funding process (debits and credits from clients bank accounts for open invoices)


• Compose Service Request submissions for enhancements and/or problem resolution for all receivable systems when needed. Develop the business requirements for system enhancements and/or reporting needs to improve the balancing process. Participate in the testing of system enhancement and/or problem fixes. 


• Complete special projects timely, accurately, and thoroughly.

Minimum Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or 3-5 years related work experience preferably in insurance, claims, or collections.


• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills to effectively provide accurate and timely support to internal and external and customers.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Attention to detail is a must.


• Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external peers and management.


• Ability to deal with time pressures and multiple priorities.


• Ability to provide technical support when required.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to acclimate to new systems quickly and proficiently.
