The Mortgage Advisory Associate partners with a Mortgage Advisor (VP through Managing Director) in facilitating mortgage loan transactions for our Private Bank clients. Utilizing direct client contact, the Mortgage Advisor Associate will ensure all information is gathered from the client and provided to other internal teams (Mortgage Underwriting and Operations), and act as a liaison between multiple internal teams in order to provide the smoothest possible client experience for the mortgage transaction. The most qualified candidate will be highly organized, with ability to pay attention to the details, needs to be proactive and able to multi-task, and should have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Daily responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

- Act as a key liaison between client, mortgage advisor and operations to ensure the loan application goes smoothly from initial disclosures and appraisal order all the way through closing and funding.

- Submit client's loan application for initial disclosures, underwriting review and, after approval, to closing.

- Stay in touch with clients to ensure all financial documentation is received for underwriting, and all conditions or documentation is received from clients in order to meet all closing needs.

- Obtain and analyze appropriate client's personal confidential information. Upon receipt, decipher whether client's mortgage request is accurate to be submitted for regulatory disclosures.

- Work with clients on obtaining required financial documents. Upon receipt, review documents for accuracy to determine whether financial package is complete and ready to be submitted for underwriting review.

- Leads pipeline management, while adhering to regulatory deadlines.

- Responsible for working with clients and leading a smooth closing process.

- Preferred experience includes 1-2 years in the mortgage industry

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Advanced verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong team orientation including ability to work with many different types of personalities and levels of seniority both within the Private Bank and externally

- Ability to multi-task and act independently and pro-actively on transactions, without direct supervision day-to-day

- Sense of urgency as needed to ensure an excellent client experience

- Experience with Encompass preferred
