The position will report to the Systems Engineering Manager. We are looking for a talented Engineer to play a leading role in Systems Engineering to define and deliver new features of advanced DC fast charging solutions to serve the growing electric vehicle market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Be part of the Charging Systems Engineering team that helps implement the Enersys energy ecosystem (EVSE, chargers, energy storage, software, services) that will deliver the ultimate customer experience

  • Architectural Design of Hardware and Software with functional Decomposition and Allocation

  • Lead HW and SW requirement definition from high level system prerequisites to low level component requirements

  • Lead DFMEA efforts with the development team

  • Ensure product compliance with all applicable regulations, UL, CE, ISO, or IEC standards

  • Development of tools and processes

  • Analysis of functional, behavioral and performance requirements


Qualifications



  • BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with battery charging systems

  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to ESS connected to utility and battery charging products

  • Experience/knowledge with ISO15 118/OCPP is a plus

  • Experience using requirement management tools such as Medini

  • Experience with EV Charging, Smart Grid, Smart Metering, Renewable Energy is a plus

  • Understanding of the Functional Safety process and standards relevant to safety critical systems and to EVSE in particular

  • Requirements Management and Traceability

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
