Description

The Advertising and Marketing Specialist ensures the smooth flow of sales from inception to placement. Will work with the sales teams to manage availability of ad positions, aid in the creation of proposals, and assist with the general workings of the sales department for all Tire Business & Rubber News products.

• Creation of proposals


• Management of paperwork and positions in print and digital process


• Maintain the sales library


• Work with production and finance to ensure proper placements of ads and billing

You will gain great experience as you create and maintain ad positioning charts for print and digital.

The Advertising & Marketing Specialist is the backbone of the sales organization; ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. Organization is key as this position will be handling two different brands including print, online, in-person and virtual events.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional office experience supporting a media sales team in an administrative capacity


• Must have experience in advertising positioning requirements and schedules


• Effective verbal and written communication skills


• Background which demonstrates strong organizational skills in an office setting


• Customer service-oriented background


• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office


• Must have knowledge of travel and expense related software, such as Concur


• Must have knowledge of sales related software, such as Salesforce


• Ideally this person would work in either our Cuyahoga Falls, OH or Detroit, MI office. Currently this position is remote only. We do have options for a hybrid schedule (part in office, part at home)

Preferences

• Media management in print and digital with a minimum of 3 years preferred.


• Industry experience within print and digital media


• Sales background, budgeting and some marketing experience, creative, project management


• Experience working with Salesforce and/or Concur


• College coursework or degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other related field

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
