The position that we have available is for a Project and Program Manager – Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Infrastructure.
What you will offer to Equinix:
You will lead projects & provide overall strategy/direction, for successful delivery of Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure projects
You will also be responsible for execution and implementation projects, managing risk and for the effective management of resources
What we are looking for:
Self-motivation and ability to adapt/flexible
Previous Data Center or Critical Infrastructure experience
Extensive Program Management background (certification preferred)
Experience with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e. UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems
Experience with multiple mission critical MEP Customer Projects (Cage & Strategic/GAM Customers) and Infrastructure Projects (Cyclical Replacement / Upgrade) less than $10Mil (UPS, Chiller, CRAC, Cabling backbone, etc.)
Extensive team management experience, preferably with project teams
Ability to derive team’s roadmap, activity, and priorities out of numerous partners’ expectations & needs
Experience with Vendor Cost Management & Costing Support to Sales (i.e. Cabs, Cage build, Security, Cabling infrastructure, and custom requirement(s), excluding Facility R&M & Utilities cost)
Presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
Knowledgeable about organizing resources to efficiently handle concurrent requests from an array of customers (internal and external)
Responsibilities would include:
The delivery of projects across multiple functional groups and manages stakeholders' needs
Planning through collaboration across functional teams to create simple business cases and independently collate project plans with an appropriate planning tool
Stakeholder Management- Works well with regional/global stakeholders to maps out lists, consult on stakeholder requirements and pro-actively manage stakeholders needs with feedback to determine escalation level
Communications-Recommends and agrees the level of communications appropriate for the project/program being delivered across functions with key stakeholders using tools/templates that require minimal feedback
Risk Management-Planning and responses are identified at an appropriate level for the project complexity and risk management capturing risk & proactively putting plans in place to mitigate exposure to risks
Responsible for the delivery of projects across multiple functional groups
Resource Management (people, finances etc.)
Produces resource/cost plans and estimates
Tracks costs to plan, and manages changes to plans
Remediate issues with support for external suppliers and contractors
