Job Description:

Herbalife Nutrition is looking for a customer marketing leader with strong cross-functional collaboration skills to help drive sales, customer satisfaction, engagement, and customer retention in the US and Puerto Rico. This position will suggest and develop marketing campaigns and journeys, oversee the development of messaging and creative design, request and utilize customer insights, implement database marketing and customer segmentation strategies and initiatives, and integrate a rewards/loyalty program into the overall marketing strategy. This role will our customer marketing efforts and will require you to work cross-functionally with our promotions team, sales, and other internal teams to implement marketing initiatives that resonate with our customers.   You need to be a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and excels at delegating, overseeing, and managing marketing projects that result in a strong omnichannel / integrated experience for our customers.

 

The ideal candidate must be able to work at the strategic and tactical levels and must also have proven analytical skills and previous experience managing and coordinating campaigns that lead to top-line revenue, while enhancing brand loyalty, engagement, and retention. You will work closely with your manager, will oversee at least one Marketing Specialist, and will be required to interact with numerous cross-functional teams.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

 


  • Inspire your team and cross-functional partners with a compelling vision and strategies that drive sales of Herbalife Nutrition products, while enhancing customer engagement, loyalty, and retention.

  • Suggest, plan, create, work cross-functionally, and execute campaigns and programs, determine key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze data and results to make data-driven marketing decisions. 

  • Test, learn, and help evolve the following marketing initiatives for our customers in the US and Puerto Rico: digital journeys, reward store initiatives, membership renewal programs, website content and newsletters, welcome assets, social media campaigns, subscription programs, and text/SMS communications.

  • Request, analyze, learn, and study data and insights on our different customer segments (i.e., demographics, order size, order frequency, etc.) to become a subject matter expert.

  • Work with the Business Analytics and Finance teams on specific phases of the marketing process, including requesting and analyzing pre-analyses, setting KPIs, establishing budgets, and analyzing post-analyses to help determine program requirements and measure successes and ROI.  Utilize data to create actionable marketing insights. 

  • Work with Global Technology team to develop and implement next-generation marketing campaigns that drive growth and customer retention. 

  • Coordinate and lead efforts with cross-functional business partners in Promotions, Operations, Digital Marketing, Creative Services, Sales, Member/Customer Service, WW Business Support, Project Management, Social Media, Sourcing, and Legal in order to execute marketing initiatives.

  • Suggest and track key target customer segments and KPIs for incremental growth.

  • Help secure Distributor Leadership alignment on customer marketing initiatives.

  • Prepare and/or present PowerPoint slides for key internal stakeholders and Distributor Leadership.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:

 

This position reports to a manager and will also work closely with marketing team members responsible for the Company’s loyalty program (HN Rewards) and sales team members responsible for promotions. Members of this five-person team all possess strong expertise in the customer segment.  They feel like family, interact numerous times each day, and are responsible for many of the marketing initiatives aimed at the Company’s customer base.

 

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

 


  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience developing, implementing, managing, and measuring B2C or direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns for a nutrition, health, or wellness company or Fortune 500 brand.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing programs.  

  • Self-Starter with strong organization, collaboration, and execution skills.  Analytical thinker who can use data to drive engagement, sales, loyalty, and retention.

  • Email and website marketing skills -- you can manage and implement effective email and website marketing campaigns that surpass industry standards and drive incremental sales and time on site. 

  • Budget management – you understand ROI and have experience managing annual budgets in excess of $500,000.

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.  Comfortable presenting to large groups online and in person.

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Workfront, Microsoft Teams, Workplace, and Enterprise Employee Recognition Platforms.

 

Education

 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of experience.
