Job Description:

Role: Application Developer(AS400)

Cognizant is looking for a Application Developer(AS400) in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

•    Health Care Knowledge (Claims processing) with PBM understanding 

•    Benefits Understanding of the Client Business requirement and Client Adjudication system Client Facing communication skills 

•    Create Functional specification document based on the Client Business requirement  

•    Review XMLs and work on mapping documents between Source and target system Guiding the Configuration team and Testing team for Requirement’s clarification 

•    Support the Defect Management process  

•    Requirement management via SFDC tool. 

•    Requirements Analysis plan build in Reclaims coordinating with coding and other support teams offshore team coordination  defect triage  status reporting and risks/issue reporting.

Knowledge Management & Capability Development:

•    Provide inputs to teams for training etc. 

•    Identify the training needs and conduct internal sessions to meet the same 

•    Partner with Cognizant academy to Create curriculum assessments  training programs  courseware based on new service offerings / solutions etc.

•    Update collateral on to the knowledge management repository

•    Gain and cultivate domain expertise to provide best and optimized solution to customer

•    Prioritize manage multiple assignments and direct the work of others to meet deadlines.

•    Excellent communication (Verbal and Written) and collaboration skills.

•    Superior organization project management and prioritization skills.

•    Courteous and professional demeanor with the desire and ability to work as a team.

•    Ability to interact and influence with senior leadership of the organization.

•    Understanding of Federal and State agencies and their role in Healthcare legislation.

•    Knowledge in Health Plan benefit structures.

•    Experience with SQL and Queries is preferred.

•    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to define problem collect data establish facts  and draw valid conclusions.

•    Knowledge and experience with Clinical Operations in the Medicaid and Medicare environment.

•    Ability to research analyze and interpret CMS rules and regulations then apply them to current work assignments.

•    Knowledge of RxClaim (AS400)  EZQuery and EZTest tools
