Working closely with the Product Architect, Design Lead, Future Offer Manager and Project Manager, the Quality Leaders' mission is to ensure product development projects deliver what is promised to the customer reaching quality excellence in Offer Creation. The Quality Leader monitors the future offers in their portfolio and drives any actions required to ensure customer satisfaction. This particular position is responsible for the project quality and customer satisfaction of Building Management Field Devices offers, with a portfolio currently including field controllers, valves & actuators and environmental sensors.
Responsibilities & Key Tasks
Offer Quality
Support the plant quality manager on any offer quality aspects, acting as a single point of contact between the Business and the plant.
Deploy best practices of Schneider Electric in terms of Offer and Project Quality.
Implement Schneider Electric quality processes for new and existing offers, following the OCP process.
Ensure robustness in supplier quality.
Help capturing and analyzing field quality experience and feed offer development for continuous improvement.
Represent the Building Management Line of Business CS&Q organization in the location.
Project Quality
Ensure that Offer Quality is built into each new project to make sure satisfaction is reached for potential future customers.
Guarantee that the Voice of Customer is well collected and analyzed in order to provide robust and ranked customer requirements to the project team: Lead the CTQ (Critical to Quality) workshops and develop CTQs for the project.
Make the synthesis on lessons learned on product development and from field experience.
Define Offer Quality Goals during project lifecycle to include all aspects affecting customer experience (deliveries, services, documentation, etc).
Attend all relevant project team meetings and "inject" the Voice of the Customer to ensure its properly taken into account.
Support the deployment of new project processes (PMP, offer safety, On Spec, ...).
Make sure that risk identification, assessment and mitigation plans are managed and updated in the project (assist the Project Manager, or lead by delegation).
Support and coach the project team on methods and quality tools needed to reach Robustness, Customer satisfaction and Quality targets.
Prepare the quality stage gate slides (PQMA, PCM) and propose gate decision.
Define EWS (Early Warning System) together with Technical Support, Continuous Engineering, Offer Manager and OQL before launch.
Travel up to 15%.
All CS&Q team members are also a change agent for customer satisfaction AND business partner. PQL can be asked to drive or contribute to any transverse initiative in that area.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial/building Automation or similar field of studies.
Building automation and\or HVAC systems.
Strong quality process knowledge, especially related to Offer Safety, PEP and PMP.
Problem solving methods and statistics (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, ...).
Customer application knowledge is a plus.
Product Verification and Validation knowledge.
Release Management (SW) knowledge is a plus.
