Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process all loan types.


• Implement duties for loan prospector as applicable.


• Mail all verifications with copy of authorization and examine for accuracy.


• Set up new processing file for loans, review appraisals, and evaluate tax returns on self-employed borrowers.


• Work with loan officers and customers to obtain necessary information to complete files, review pre-closing and post-closing documents for compliance.


• Order credit reports, appraisals, title opinions on loan files and submit packages to PMI companies as needed.


• Send credit reports to various branches and Market Areas, send all adverse action notices on all denied loans, log credit reports, appraisals, and title opinions performed. 


• Work with Market Areas in processing FHLMC loans, and do G/L entries prior to loan being booked.


• Work with some loan exceptions, calculate payments, answer inquiries concerning mortgage loans, and answer overflow telephone calls.


• Prepares and mails adverse action notices on all non-originated loans.


• Assist loan officers with finalizing loans through HUD settlement.


• Do final reviews of loans to determine if all documentation and information is obtained to close loans, and/or assist in underwriting of loans. Underwriting includes having knowledge of secondary market guidelines.


• Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE

• Position normally requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, plus such practical knowledge as would be learned on the job.


• Over two years and up to four years of experience.


• Excellent PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and other applicable software.


• Excellent oral and written communication skills.


• Excellent organizational skills.


• Knowledge of governmental rules and regulations.


• Notary Public


• Successfully completed training in loan prospector, mortgage ware, and mortgage loan processing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Normal office conditions.


• Limited travel
