Position Overview:


The Senior FP&A Analyst will be primarily responsible for analyzing and reporting the consolidated forecast, budget, and actual cash flow package to senior management. The ideal candidate will become involved in global cash flow planning and analysis, supporting executive level presentations, supporting M&A analysis, cash and treasury forecasting to include covenant analysis and performing ad hoc projects. This position provides a candidate the unique opportunity to become a key member in an exciting blue-chip private equity backed firm focused on the Defense and National Security community.


Specific Requirements:



  • Oversee FP&A operations of the organization and its subsidiaries in a hands-on manner

  • Lead all reporting requirements including monthly close, monthly forecasts, annual and long-range plans including production and maintenance of forecast for key performance indicators (KPI’s) including spend and resource requirements for business groups

  • Consolidation of multiple business units

  • Work with Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts

  • Produce models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors

  • Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team

  • Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance

  • Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results

  • Providing detailed analysis and commentary on cost and spending centers

  • Review operations and recommend new productivity or cost saving initiatives

  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions

  • Evaluate previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets

  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations

  • Partner with the local finance teams to improve liquidity, over deliver budget targets, and actively manage working capital

  • Lead efforts to monitor liquidity and provide variance analysis for changes in cash balance versus weekly forecast

  • Manage capital spending analysis and estimates across the organization

  • Support and work closely with project finance and proposals to ensure proper maintenance of incurred and program costs/profits as well as required support in bids and proposals

  • Work with senior management on actively managing the M&A pipeline and elements of the execution to include required financial analysis

  • ERP/CPM (Corporate Performance Management; OneStream) integration and oversight


Education Requirements: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering

  • MBA (Master of Business Administration) preferred


Experience Required:



  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, applied business statistics, and strong modeling experience

  • 5+ years with relevant analytical and commercial experience

  • Experience acting as a finance subject matter expert in the optimization of various enterprise resource planning (ERP) business tools and applications

  • Experience with a CPM tool such as OneStream

  • Knowledge of reporting, visualization, intelligence and analysis tools

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management

  • Strong leadership skills, high level of responsibility and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-pace environment

  • Experience with presenting analytical results in verbal and written form across a multi-disciplinary organization

  • Ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems to a broad audience

  • Able to solve complex problems

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships

  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Occasional long hours and/or weekend work required
