NOTE: This position is located in Boca Raton, however, can be remote in any location throughout the US, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones.

Sensormatic Retail Systems the world leader in Loss Preventions, Store Performance, Cutting Edge Protection Solutions and Customer traffic insights, are looking to fill a key position within its Global Solutions Management team. 

The global video surveillance system market was valued at USD 52.45 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach USD 90.37 billion by 2026. The use of video surveillance in business is growing significantly, owing due to the increasing need for physical security, coupled with the use of market specific analytics and cloud-based services for centralized data analysis and investigations.

What you will do

The Solution Manager for our Video portfolio will be responsible for all aspects of stand-alone & integrated Video solutions, CCTV & Retail Analytic software, along with hardware and services components.  Will need a deep understanding of product lifecycle management, with a focus on comprehensive solution offerings and will be joining a team of like Video Solutions Managers with whom they will ideate and collaborate for the strength and success of our Sensormatic Solutions video portfolio.  

The growth of the video surveillance market is expected to be fueled by the introduction of new IP-based digital technologies to detect and prevent undesirable behaviors, such as shoplifting, ORC, thefts, vandalism, and terror attacks, in addition to gaining greater insight into the customer journey and shopping trends.

As a lead solution portfolio subject matter expert, you will be frequently asked to participate in high level meetings with global customers, analysts, and strategic partners to present product roadmaps and strategic perspectives. This position will also support Sensormatic marketing and public relations activities through speaking engagements and media event participation.

How you will do it

The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the Loss and Liability Solution Management Video and Analytic team. The team’s responsibilities include setting Sensormatic’s Video and Analytic product's vision and strategic direction. As a Solutions Manager, you will need to be able to clearly articulate the business case of a given initiative, which will enable our solutions to drive growth within the retail markets.

Your role will have a large impact, as the products you create will be used to protect people, facilities, and assets, at scale – around the world. Will collaborate closely with Strategy, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams to define, develop, and deliver cutting edge Video/CCTV platforms, AI/ML, and ComputerVision solutions to meet customer needs and maximize business results. 

You will be the voice of the market and customer within the organization. Will have the skills and insights to acquire a thorough knowledge of the needs of the Retail Video Surveillance landscape.  In addition, will understand to the ever growing Analytic & AL/ML innovations, by having a deep understanding of market trends supported by ongoing communication with internal and external customers within the global retail markets.

Major responsibilities include creating the global product line strategy, managing product line profitability, generating new market expansion, along with owning new product introduction and obsolescence.

You will be responsible for managing the solution release process and cross-functional dependencies — all activities required to bring new products, features, and functionality to market.

The candidate will be skilled at gathering and evaluating ideas and opinions, planning new features and changes to a product which will assist in creating and updating the vertical product roadmaps. The product roadmap is a powerful business communication tool that visualizes the plan for product and solution launches to meet our strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities are to: 


  • Translate business strategy into product strategy 

  • Own the product roadmap 

  • Execute product strategy 

  • Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market 

  • Plan and carry out product launches 

  • Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case 

  • Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and markets 

  • Provide product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messaging

  • Write high-level requirements 

  • Support the Product Marketer with any questions they may have 

  • Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues

  • Develop positioning and messaging to differentiate products in the market

  • Communicate the proposition to Sales (i.e., why customers should buy)

  • Create and manage programs to generate demand for the product

  • Develop the collateral and sales tools that support the selling process

  • Utilize an in-depth knowledge of global customer video solutions, Retail Analytic needs and technology trends to drive internal and external vendor partner strategic which will accelerate breakthrough solution development & deployment

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or similar field

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in product/solutions marketing

  • Ability to motivate and rally individuals and teams within the organization.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong experience with interfacing with various internal (sales, development, marketing) and external constituents (customers, analysts, partners)

  • Acts as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and/or buyer’s needs

  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes market/customer requirements

  • Acts as the product’s leader within the company

  • Develops the business case for new products, improvements to existing products, and business ventures

  • Subject matter expertise within Video and Analytic markets

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business objectives

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Researching competitors and similar products.

  • Be able to analyze complex data and look for trends in the market and users' opinions and behavior
