Job Description

To direct and acquire new business with existing and new customers, and grow newly acquired accounts in assigned market. Act as the voice of the customer and provide business development expertise.

Primary or Major Responsibilities:

  • Interact with potential customers to identify, qualify and close potential business opportunities andgrow the pipeline.
  • Through internal interface and coordination with Company personnel, ensure proposals for potential contracts are prepared accurately and completely to such degree that a positive match between company's capabilities and customer's requirements are achieved.
  • Act as the capture team leader throughout the pursuit of a new business opportunity to close the deal.
  • Coordination of bid and proposal activity. Subsequent to receiving a contract award, review and ensure proper organization, project definition, and communication is provided to the assigned operation to ensure that the project can be successfully executed and completed.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows for networking to expand name recognition and lead generation.
  • Supply chain networking for lead generation and competitive intelligence.
  • Provide monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 10+ years related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience
  • 5+ years of experience in Defense Manufacturing or closely related industries.
  • Strong customer rolodex within defense industry.
  • Provenbusiness development capability.
  • Contract design/manufacturing experience.
  • Entrepreneurial background, small or mid-sized company experience.
  • Exposure to sales lead tracking tools preferred.
