Responsibilities for the IT Support Technician include but are not limited to:
Monitor helpdesk ticketing system (Sysaid) and resolution of division's helpdesk support requests.
Desktop and notebook support involving repairs, imaging, and configuration.
Installing, maintaining, and coordinating support or repairs of division hardware. Including the ordering of supplies for these devices as appropriate.
Experience with printer and copier support: troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance.
Office VOIP phone system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Setup and configuration for all mobile devices.
A/V setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Manage internal and third-party software licensing counts and updates.
Utilize SCCM for software deployments and updates.
Create and verify nightly backups of data on a weekly basis, maintain disaster recovery plan, and test restore process on a quarterly basis.
The primary focus of this position will be supporting IT operations onsite.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an IT networked environment with specific knowledge of Microsoft Windows, PC hardware support, and basic IT networking concepts.
Cisco or Microsoft Professional Certifications preferred
Experience with Virtual Server management and configuration.
Customer Support or Helpdesk Experience-Sysaid or other helpdesk software preferred.
Manufacturing-related IT experience, with a preference for process-related industries like the steel environment.
