Job Description:

This role is Worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite. You must be fully vaccinated if you're to come onsite OR undergo testing twice a week.

We're looking for Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced, customer-focused primary care/adult medicine/pediatric teams for Cigna Medical Group across the Phoenix Valley. Work hours: Current schedule will be M-T-W-F from 6:45am-4:45pm, and Thursdays from 6:45am-10:45am. Some hours may vary based on the location and schedule may change based on business need.

What you'll do:

• 
  Ensure day-to-day operations run like a well-oiled machine: Use your supernatural organizational powers to help manage the health care needs of our varied patient populations, accurately follow all policies and procedures, provide excellent customer service through all avenues of communication, practice in alignment with the scope of your certification or licensure, appropriately manage ambiguity, recognize appropriate ways to deal with conflict management, and properly document your efforts of all the care and information provided to our patients.

• Get hands-on:

• For medical assistants, you may be rooming for a provider, which includes taking vital signs, entering data in patient chart, using high tech equipment to perform diagnostic testing, reviewing medications, and outreaching to patients and providers for the purposes of continuing care. Overall, you will work with the clinicians, your peers, and the patients to meet the needs of the practice. Great communication is a "must" to be successful. This person will have their own schedule of patients to work, so must be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and attention to protocol and detail.

  Be a superstar in the eyes of providers and patients alike: Help answer questions, concerns, and requests, either in person, through our EHR and patient portal, or by phone.

Graduate of approved MA program or graduate of an unapproved program with successful completion of certification examination; graduate of a US Armed Forces medical services program or practicing medical assistant who completed supervision requirements prior to February 2, 2000 ("grandfather clause") OR at least 1 year of back office experience as an Ophthalmic or Optometric Assistant (certification not required) High school diploma or GED certificate Have excellent customer skills, and care deeply about providing empathetic, quality care to customers Have spent time in a healthcare environment Know your way around a computer BLCS certification

Bonus points for:

• 1+ year experience in the outpatient setting


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
