Senior Analyst - Advanced Analytics R&D, eviCore at Cigna in FRANKLIN, Tennessee

Job Description:

This position is dedicated to supporting analytic initiatives related to new and potential eviCore programs. The Senior Analyst will be responsible to analyze and interpret data from various sources supporting internal management and ad hoc analytics. You will work with business users in our Operations, Finance, and other departments to help establish automated processes, predictive models, and ad hoc analytics to provide greater insight into our operational workflows and efficacy. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with internal partners and compile data to review or present results to internal partners.

Primary Responsibilities

• Works with business users in our Operations, Finance, and other departments to help establish methodologies, benchmarks, models, and dashboards as well as ad hoc analytics to provide greater insight and value into our programs


• Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from various sources supporting internal management & investigating individual research questions


• Will contribute to ad hoc analyses in a collaborative environment


• This role will educate colleagues in use, manipulation, and understanding of team's data and resources in addition toeffectively communicating their key findings group leadership and assisting in presenting those results more broadly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related field strongly preferred


• Master's degree preferred


• 3+ years in research, healthcare analytics, business analytics or similar work experience strongly preferred


• Experience working with big data sets and/or claims data strongly preferred


• Healthcare or insurance industry experience beneficial

• Solid research skills


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Experience with SQL and/or SAS ideal plus data visualization tools such as Tableau.


• Ability to manage multiple projects with a variety of scopes and stages of development


• Ability to work collaboratively with other analysts and advisors

This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
