Job Purpose and Scope:
Performs all appraisal related services for the Division's lenders, which includes engagements of outside appraisers, reviews of the product received, and preparations and distributions of appraisal reports on certain real property transactions.
Essential Job Functions:
Compiles and maintains a list of approved appraisers.
Selects and engages appraisers to perform appraisal services for the Bank.
Evaluates and monitors the performance of individuals providing appraisal services.
Assists in identifying the appropriate appraisal for real estate secured loan transactions.
Reviews the appraisal product received for conformity with generally accepted appraisal standards and regulatory and policy requirements.
Delivers appraisal reports to the lenders in a timely manner.
Communicates effectively with appraisers and the lending staff.
Develops forms and a database necessary to perform the job duties.
Provides back-up support for other review staff.
Communicates with and assists other Divisions with appraisal services as needed.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of the other essential job functions.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.
Performs other job responsibilities as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of real estate appraisal standards and requirements applicable to federally related real estate transactions.
Knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations governing real estate related activities of the Bank.
Knowledge of trending appraisal methods, including review theory.
Knowledge of Argus and Adobe Acrobat software.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to consistently demonstrate good organizational skills.
Ability to demonstrate analytical skills including discounted cash flow analysis.
Advanced skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work without close direct supervision.
Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain attention to detail.

Minimum of six (6) months prior work experience in a real estate related profession required.
Current Certified Appraisal License preferred.
