Commercial Optimization Analyst

Job Summary: As Commercial Optimization Analyst, you will work closely with various stakeholders to gather, document, update and distribute best practices related to commercial contracts, processes and policies. You will also be responsible for initiating and facilitating regular updates to global pricing and quoting guidelines for our sales teams. The successful candidate will be the vital link between Commercial Operations and other organizations within Equinix (Product Management, Legal, IT etc.) to inform and assess the impact of various process or policy changes. You should be able to work independently with necessary guidance and be able to successfully deliver your work within specified timelines.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
Manages stakeholder expectations within team and/or across functions
Identifies and proactively includes relevant stakeholders and communications effectively
Escalates to higher management to resolve complex stakeholder issues
Documentation/Management of Organizational Assets
Owns documentation of best practices relevant to Commercial Operations and assists with regular updates of training material and other documents by working with both internal and external stakeholders
Proactively reaches out to stakeholders to identify opportunities to create structured and formal documentation of processes and activities
Assists with onboarding of new team members through training on different aspects of the business
Vigilantly manages access to sensitive documents and materials
Problem Solving/Assessment
Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of functional and/or cross-functional issues (sometimes complex or with a high level of ambiguity)
Identifies process gaps and issues, and formulates plans to address these
Assesses impact of manual workarounds
Alignment, Consistency & Prioritization
Assesses priority based on fit to agreed organizational criteria
Recommends alternative solutions, escalating to more senior members
Represents and protects vital commercial and business interests at various forums
Participates in cross functional discussions to drive issues, challenges, and prioritization efforts
Supports in providing necessary feedback, guidance and/or advice to team members
Reporting, Metrics, and Tools
Builds ad-hoc reports, dashboards and models to analyze, report, and present data to identify opportunities for improvement of key business metrics
Presents insights and opportunities to stakeholders
Assesses post-change benefits and success criteria using reports/dashboards
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in related field preferred
A strong academic background with demonstrable commercial acumen; associate’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Must be proficient in MS Office applications and skilled in making presentations
Must be familiar with Siebel CRM, Salesforce, and Tableau
