Job Title:GAC Graduate Research Student - Master 2 GradSalary/Grade:

Job Summary:

Work independently with limited supervision, while also providing supervision of student employees at Student Research Master 1 and 2 Undergraduate level. Students will work with Department of Geography faculty and staff to contribute to and co-lead the completion of departmental and university research projects; updating geospatial course labs to include more R and Python modules; and co-lead manuscripts and data citations.
A graduate student can be paid at the Student Master Grad 2 level, provided that the skill and complexity of the job are equivalent to a Graduate Assistant/Teaching Associate (e.g., researcher).

Essential Duties:

Ability to cooperate and communicate is imperative. Duties will include/require interacting with data clients within and outside the University.

Minimum Qualifications:Experience in geospatial software and database management is required. Must have completed advanced geospatial courses at Miami or another institution and have intermediate competency in geospatial programming.
