Covering the North America, LATAM, and EMEA regions, this position is responsible for the direction, scheduling, and management of personnel, building relationships with key partners and stakeholders (business, technology, vendors), helping to drive the architecture and design of physical security systems, and the implementation and maintenance of those systems.
Responsibilities:
Execute on the Corporate Security vision, mission and goals as delegated by leadership
New installation and remediation projects
Vendor relationships
Planning, execution, and reporting
Tracking and reporting source, costs, and budget for all projects
Software and hardware maintenance
Planning and executing system software updates
Coordination with IT for operating environment updates
Reporting and timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities
Maintenance and tracking of hardware and software support agreements and warranties
Tracking equipment lifecycle for remediation of EOL hardware and software
People management and relationships
Manage small (3-5) staff of security technology professionals
Mentor team members for growth and engagement
Perform periodic reviews and evaluation of team members
Build relationships with key partners in each region, including peer groups and vendors
Track vendor compliance with contract terms and key performance indicators
Security technology
Act as a champion for the rollout of enterprise access control and video surveillance systems, supporting different business unit requirements and technology infrastructure availability
Drive standardization across the enterprise
Work closely with teammates in India and APAC to ensure global consistency
Maintain awareness of industry leading technology and recommend enhancements to mitigate risk
Qualifications:
10+ Years of relevant experience in Physical Security Technology
Expertise in access control design and implementation including Lenel OnGuard configuration and administration.
Expertise in video surveillance design and implementation including Milestone X-Protect configuration and administration.
Knowledge of access control hardware including Mercury/Lenel controllers and reader boards, HID card readers, Invixium multi-factor readers, and associated wiring and installation requirements.
Knowledge of video hardware including Axis cameras and associated wiring and installation requirements.
Strong communication skills, including the creation and reporting of meaningful metrics.
Understanding of networks, including VPNs.
Ability to identify and evaluate new technologies for tactical or strategic integration.
Understanding of Microsoft operating environment (Windows, SQL Server, etc.)
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $110,000-$140,000depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
