The Continuous Improvement Manager will drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives and deployments. This role will utilize Lean implementation strategies and Six Sigma methods to lead the organization through the Lean transformation . This role will deploy these tools across the global organization with the aim of producing efficient and effective processes that better satisfy our customers’ needs. Additionally, this role will take a hands-on, collaborative, action-oriented approach to build support for change and transformation.
Detailed Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and drive lean transformational and continuous improvement efforts across multiple functions
Provide internal consultative services on specific Continuous Improvement projects and activities such as process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, establishing performance standards/metrics, ROI analysis and project management across multiple functions
Drive standardization and systematization of efficient operating processes via identification of best practices across multiple sites and teams
Diagnose processes, identify waste, and work in collaboration with leadership to develop proposals for improving performance
Build site capability in Continuous Improvement through coaching, mentoring, and training employees in the understanding and deployment of Continuous Improvement methodology and practices
Track, measure, and report progress on improvements using visual, standard, and established Key Performance Indicators
Assist organization to develop and execute long-term and short-term strategic vision
Serve as a change facilitator and influence business leadership in the transformation to and/or in support of a continuous improvement culture
Assess, coach, and provide constructive feedback to leaders, teams, and individuals to strengthen lean competencies throughout the business
Initiate, maintain, and share business developed “best practices”
Additional Responsibilities:
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organizes work areas for efficiency and safety
Provides status reports to management as required
Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering/ Technical degree or Business discipline preferred
MBA preferred
Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated lean and / or Six Sigma experience
Black Belt or Lean Expert Certification
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Exceptional communications and presentation skills, written and verbal required
Team-oriented player with an entrepreneurial drive for success
Must be an assertive self-starter and possess the organizational skills to leverage resources across the organization as needed
Must be able to meet deadlines, be well organized, and exercise sound judgment
Excellent planning, organizing skills, and attention to detail
